Glowing Balloons.

It's been a while. I am sorry. My second job and school have taken over my life. But there is light at the end of the tunnel; I quit my hostess job. It came down to making money or doing homework. I chose college. Surprise surprise.

I honestly am so relieved to have my weeknight free. I can get so much homework and house work done!

So, I am still really loving school. My favorite part is that I'm actually challenged in what I do instead of coasting by. It sounds weird but I don't want to be one of the best in the class and I'm glad I'm not, because if I'm at the top where else can I go?

Also, my super exciting news for the post. In two years, when I graduate, I may have two degrees. One Bachelors and one Masters!!!! How awesome is that!? We have a dual degree program where this is a possibility. I'm hoping it's a reality I can look forward to.

My most recent project was Humans Vs. Zombies. Basically it was a week long fight for humanity. It was so much fun to cover! I got to follow people around, kinda like a stalker, and record everything they do. But I've decided next semester I'm playing. Full on battle for humanity with the other nerf warriors. This semester the humans lost and the zombies blew up the moon. It was comically sad the way in which they lost.

It's seriously a sport on campus. It's nice to be around a nerd culture that is accepted.

I have also found my spot on campus. It's a little cafe/bar down the street and it's cute and inexpensive and quirky. I love it. They also have a happy hour
with $4 wines and $5 signature cocktails. It's so great.

Friday, when I quit my second job, Jake and I took Riley to the Hot Air Balloon Festival in Forest Park. It was SO COOL!!! I have never seen a hot air balloon up close and there were quite a few of them there.

Words can't describe how cool it was so I will just show you.

It was just so cool. Riley got lots of attention and got to roll around in mud so he was on cloud nine and fell asleep in the car on the way home.

I got my very own bowling ball and bag. The Neighbor is coaching me and says I will bowl a 150 in four weeks. I hope I can beat Jake. That would make the game more fun.

Well since my whole life has been Journalism I don't have much else to talk about other than HVZ.

One last thing. We just bought bins for the dog and cat food. Agnes would frequently hop into the dog food bag for a midnight snack and she is now unhappy she can't get it. She has been trying all night to get into the bins. To make it even better the bins are clear so she can see the food. I think Jake did that purposefully.
And here's both kids playing with a box.

Until next time.
